There are some great questions that I found on the web that I wanted to share that I think would be great for a book Club. Please feel free to use it for my book or for any others as these questions are universal.
- What do you think was the central theme or message of the book?
- Would you recommend to a friend, if so, how would you summarize the book?
- How did the book impact you personally? Did it change your perspective on anything?
- What was your favorite part of the book and why?
- Was there any part of the book you didn’t like and why?
- How does this compare to other books in the same genre?
- What did you think of the writing style and content structure of the book (Tone, the pace) is it effective?
- Were there any quotes or passages that stood out to you?
- Which moment prompted the strongest emotional reaction for you? Why?
- What surprised you most about the book?
- How did the main character change by the end of the book?
- How honest do you think the author was?
- What aspects of the story could you most relate to?
- Why do you think the author chose to write their memoir?
- Are there any questions left unanswered by the end of the book?
- How did you feel about the ending?
- If you could talk to the author, what burning question would you want to ask?
- What did you learn from this book?
- Did the book challenge any preconceived notions of beliefs you had?
- Did the book inspire you to seek out more books/media on the topic?
- Did the book make you reflect on your own experiences, and if so, what reflections did you come away with?
- Who would you cast to play some of the characters in a movie?
